*TOPIC*: *Just One Man Saw It*!
*TEXT:* Romans 6:11-23
*MESSAGE*
In Nigeria, yesterday was a public holiday meant to celebrate Nigeria's Independence from foreign colonial master. So, I say a happy Independence celebration to all Nigerians. The truth of the matter is that we are yet to gain our true Independence. What we are seeing today signifies a mere change of baton from the English man's colonization to indigenous colonization. Another truth is this. The true state of Independence cannot be attained by the natural man. He is always under a higher power- either that of God or Satan. This is what Paul expressed I verse 17-18;
_"But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness."_
You see that? _*Through the finished work on the cross, we gained Independence from Satan and his evil works and came to serve God in righteousness. Unfortunately, there are Christians who are yet to flow in this experience.*_ They are still held in bondage and I captivity. Today they must make a move to demand for their total freedom. They must break themselves loose from the stronghold of the devil through which they are being manipulated. They must make up their minds never to be held bound to Satan again. Receive grace to do this. Happy Independence Day celebration to all Nigerians.
*Prayer Points* Start with praise / worship.
1. Thank God for another new day and for His word.
2. Pray for our dear country Nigeria, as you are led now.
3. Ask God to expose, disgrace and paralyze all the forces that have held this nation hostage.
4. Pray that wetin the next one year, God will once again open unto us the door of prosperity as a nation.

*TOPIC*: *Gaining Independence From Satan*
*TEXT:* Psalm 27:1-12
*MESSAGE*
The love of God towards us is unconditional. So we enjoy His steadfastness and unflinching support. This is one area where God is very different from man. Man may love you, but may act differently when it matters most. Have you not seen parents who abandon their children when things goes tough? God is not like that. He will never leave you or forsake you. Verse 10 says,
_"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up."_
These are words of assurance from the psalmist this morning. Even when you are disowned by your "earthly parents", who will accept you as an "orphan"' even if the whole world forsake you totally, God will still be there for you. Sometimes, when we are facing some difficult situations, we may feel as if God is far from us. Probably, you have done your best in praying and it seems God does not hear. Beloved, I have good news for you. God has promised to be your ever present help, your refuge and strength in times of trouble. God is always, with you even at times when you are not conscious of it. As God's temple that you are, His spirit is dwelling in you. He is ever ready to bless, guide, protect and prosper you. Refuse to be weighed down by your present circumstances. It is not common to you alone. _*And if God has strength and seen others through in their season of trials, He will also do the same with you*_. Please be patient!

2. Pray for the grace to daily enjoy the faithfulness of God all your life time.
3. Believe God for deliverance from the hands of the oppressive forces of your life.
4. Pray that nothing will make you to miss the promised Land prepared for you.
